Get in Touch

Get in touch only for questions about this private reference service or a broken link. The operator cannot confirm Idaho County custody, release, charges, warrants, booking photos, or court outcomes. Those answers belong to the sheriff, jail, police agency, court, IDOC, or other originating office. The routing list below identifies the official starting point for each kind of record.

This is not a government office. Messages sent here cannot release a person, pull an official record, confirm a warrant, or verify current custody. Use the originating office below for a person-specific answer.

Where to Ask First

Choose the custodian that created the record. A city arrest and a county booking can be held by different offices, and a person who moved to state or federal custody will not be answered by the county roster.

  • For an Idaho County Jail custody entry, photo, booking sheet, or county report, start with the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office and its Records Division.
  • For a current county custody page or release notification, use the Current Inmate List and VINELink.
  • For an unsealed case, public warrant information, hearings, or disposition, use the Idaho iCourt Portal or the courthouse clerk.
  • For a Grangeville arrest, contact the Grangeville Police Department and confirm whether the county jail holds the booking record.
  • For a Kamiah matter, confirm the agency first because the city says it contracts with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
  • For a Cottonwood matter, verify the dated Cottonwood Police contact before sending a request.
  • For state custody or supervision, use the IDOC Resident/Client Search; for federal or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator.

City Agency Routing

City pages are not interchangeable. The contact facts below come from the research and include date or status caveats where needed.

How to Send a Records Request

For a county booking record or photo, use the Idaho County public-records form when the Sheriff’s Office is the custodian. Name the person or booking identifier, date range, record type, and preferred format. The county form lists the first 100 pages of unrecorded documents as free, then $0.25 per page, with possible labor, mailing, and special-processing costs. It does not establish a booking-photo-specific fee.

Idaho Code section 74-103 supplies response rules and allows written extensions. A request can ask for nonexempt portions and an itemized estimate. If a city or another county holds the record, send the request there instead. This private service cannot submit the request or predict the custodian’s response.

Questions About This Service

Messages about a broken page link or a clear factual error in the reference text may be sent through the operator’s available contact route. Do not include sensitive personal information and do not expect a reply to substitute for an official record.

For legal questions, speak with a licensed Idaho attorney. For custody, release, booking, warrants, court records, or corrections status, contact the responsible public office directly.
